Requisition ID#: [[id]] The Manager - Reliability is responsible for the planning and execution of the refinery's reliability program which includes all rotating, electrical, instrumentation and analyzer equipment. Responsibilities also extend to management of the Reliability Engineering function for the Refinery. Supervises (through 4 direct reports) and administers the Equipment Reliability Program - Rotating Equipment Reliability, Instrumentation & Electrical Reliability, Analyzer Reliability and Reliability Engineering activities including record keeping, quality assurance of equipment and repairs, surveillance & diagnostics of equipment protection elements. Quantifies the results of reliability efforts through process and results metrics. Provides leadership role in bringing together refinery organizations for the purpose of reducing equipment failures; esp. personnel engaged in Detection & Prevention or Repair & Improvement Processes. Provides emphasis and leadership to the refinery in root cause event analysis related to equipment failures. Drives a defect elimination culture. A strong advocate of the Operations-led Reliability concept employed at Pascagoula. Provides vision and strategic direction in the applications of state of the art technology, tools & practices in reliability analysis, principles or engineering practices that include tools like Meridium, Reliability-Centered Maintenance, Comprehensive Risk Analysis, Failure Effects and Modes Analysis, Critical Process Variable monitoring, Weibul Analysis, et al. Direct link to Chevron Reliability Center of Excellence and member of Global Manufacturing Reliability Team - with peer Reliability Managers - to identify and plan resolution of identified Reliability opportunities. Provides leadership in the execution of OE Reliability related work processes. This includes establishing long range reliability plans for equipment assets based on availability engineering and preparing the work scope for rotating and l&E equipment for turnarounds of assets based on availability engineering, inspection & reliability plans. Strong supporter and advocate for Loss Prevention System (LPS) and Injury Incident Free (llF) culture Sets expectations and manages performance of direct reports and oversees the performance and professional development of the group. Champions change with a drive for continuous improvement. Fosters a strong team environment Responsible for development and management of the department's annual budget. Responsible for stewardship of the M&R Business Plan Responsible for succession planning and development of personnel in M&R Reports to the Manager - Maintenance & Reliability **Required Qualifications:** A minimum of 10 years related experience in refining Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience supervising exempt employees Knowledgeable in refinery work processes and execution **Preferred Qualifications:** Technical degree In lieu of technical degree,10 years direct Reliability experience in a Manufacturing environment Previous experience in Operations and/or Maintenance Second level supervisory experience **Relocation Options:** Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters. **International Considerations:** Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
