Serving as subject matter expert (SME) on regulatory compliance, with a focus on the product & technology portfolio managed by the Americas region. This includes but is not limited to regulations affecting food contact (i.e. FDA, ANVISA),medical device, chemical controls (i.e. TSCA, DSL), labeling, etc.
Reviewing/approving new and existing raw materials and finished good formulations for applicability and compliance in various marketplaces
Providing gap analysis and remediation avenue for non-compliance issues and marketplace restriction
Lead USA and Canada (primarily) chemical compliance activities by:
Serving as primary contact for food contact evaluations and approvals for all finished goods
Serving as primary contact for finished goods medical device component evaluations
Contribute to activities and processes, as assigned, by
Supporting hazard communication and chemical registrations
Participating in cross functional projects with R&D, Supply Chain and other areas (i.e. sustainability)
Authoring global and regional (Americas) procedures (SOP)
Practice Safe work habits in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and Bostik specific EHS&S guidelinesOther duties as assignedJob Dimensions:Perimeter: Global Nonwovens (GNW), Americas Industrial Adhesives (IA), Consumer & Construction (C&C) - AmericasImpact to the Business: Sales volume in the Americas including GNWContext and Environment:
This role is established to provide subject matter expertise to assure regulatory and safety compliance for Americas product portfolio through disciplined use and thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements and Bostik procedures.

Accountabilities:
Effective communication to and training of business teams, peers and junior regulatory staff regarding regulatory requirements with emphasis on the Americas region
Develop procedures, policies and workflows for review/approval that improve product development and commercialization processes.
Provide timely response to customers.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Polymer Chemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Sciences or related field and minimum of 7 years working in regulatory affairs function.
Experience with to regulations affecting food contact (i.e. FDA, ANVISA)
Demonstrated knowledge of pertinent regulations, chemical manufacturing industry, preparing assessments, global hazard communication (GHS) and chemical control laws.
Strong verbal, written, analytical, research, persuasion, negotiation and presentation skills as well as interpersonal skills; self-motivated, and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining strong attention to details.
High degree of initiative and standard for accuracy.
Strong computer literacy, with knowledge of common software and ERP systems. Experience with the WERCS and SAP software is preferred.
