JOB SUMMARY
The Regional Manager of Finance – Analysis & Business Support is a key member of the MSB MxM organization. This position is responsible for managing the operational costs of the Admin Units including the AVP/Regional Finance and Bench Units for Marriott Select Branded hotels in North America. The RMOF – Analysis & Business Support is responsible for managing costs, tracking, and analyzing Admin Capital Expenditures, and identifying areas for improvement. Additionally, the RMOF is responsible for creating Month End reporting package and designing reports for use and follow up by senior management.
Expected Contributions
Manage and lead operational admin budget process through review of key metrics, in partnership with Sr. Managers of Finance MSB and AVP’s MSB for East and Wet regions.
Administrate the capital budget and project approval process through inventory guidelines and depreciation schedules for all capital projects in the MSB AVP, Bench Team, and Finance units. Partner with MSB AVP’s, Area Directors, and Sr. Manager Finance MSB for East & West regions.
Identify key financial risks and design above property admin review processes and documentation to mitigate risks, including exception reviews, exception approval process, and systemic updates to improve processes.
Reconcile and complete documentation for all MSB admin balance sheet accounts and ensure appropriate actions are taken to maintain balance sheets in accordance with SOPs.
Manage the MSB Bench units, including allocations, charge outs, and analysis of monthly financial statements.
Partner with America’s Finance team to pull through financial initiatives utilizing performance reporting and training.
Organize and lead the set up and analysis of 3 rd party control shops at all MSB managed hotels, with emphasis on Courtyard Bistro. Ensure follow up actions and documentation are completed by property teams.
Partner with America’s Finance team to pull through SOP changes and updated controls as needed.
Partner with AVPs and Sr. Manager Finance to resolve issues that negatively impact the financial statement. Develop action plans focused on financial improvement.
Lead analysis of financial reports; identify regional trends and areas for financial improvement. To include, reviewing miscellaneous other sales revenue accounts (i.e., Bistro, Parking, GNS, Valet, Cancellation Revenue, Early Departure fees, etc.)
Assist with hotel openings, divestitures, and conversions, including process set up, taxes, and other related activities.
Act as a Brand Champion; support all Brand and Regional financial initiatives with active participation, including revenue enhancement and expense related projects.
Be an ambassador for gathering and sharing financial best practices and benchmarks with all hotels in the Region, including ancillary revenue, checkbooks, POR/PAR, Atlas, etc.
Complete month end duties, including QuickBase reclass entries, late FRS tracking, Pcard reports, MSB list maintenance and other duties as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and four (4) years of experience; OR Equivalent of relevant work experience.
Knowledge and Skills
Thorough knowledge of the principles, procedures, and techniques of accounting, and of financial records and transactions including, but not limited to, generally accepted accounting principles.
Strong communications (verbal and written), organization and presentation skills
Knowledge of purchasing, inventory controls, supplies and equipment
Knowledge of overall hotel operations and governances
Systems skills, including MS Office and hotel systems (Peoplesoft, Fosse, Atlas, etc.)
Microsoft Excel skills (including ability to create and use advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, graphs/charts)
Ability to analyze data across multiple reporting sources and create savvy reports detailing trends, projections, etc.
Ability to work independently and take initiative, strong time management skills
Ability to translate financial concepts into actionable business strategies and tactics
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and influence others at all levels, including senior management
Effective change management skills
California Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $70,838.00 to $151,428.00 annually.
Colorado Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $70,838.00 to $137,661.00annually.
New York City & Westchester County, NY Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $85,714.00 to $151,428.00 annually.
Washington Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $70,838.00 to $151,428.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus. Employees will accrue 0.4616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
