The Recruiter will be responsible for developing and delivering innovative recruiting strategies that deliver a robust talent pipeline for roles across multiple organizations. Additionally, the recruiter will own the development of a College Recruiting & Relationship Plan, positioning Allison Transmission to attract recent college graduates and interns to join the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*:

Source candidates, both active and passive, through recruitment activities such as online postings, social media engagement, local marketing, and community involvement

Continually expand network and maintain effective relationships with social and professional groups to source qualified candidates

Collaborate with senior leaders, hiring managers and HR Representatives on creative hiring strategies that align with organizational goals and team culture

Use historical placement data, and industry based research, to determine effective recruiting strategies and needed presence for Local and Regional College Campuses

Build relationships with Local and Regional College Career Placement offices

Coordinate any applicable administrative tasks to include phone screens, interviews, pre-employment assessment and contingency screenings

Facilitate job offers and coordinate employee on-boarding/orientation scheduling

Maintain applicable reporting to update and communicate with leadership on status of open positions

Maintain all information in the recruiting system to meet all EEOC and AAP compliance requirements

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field

3-5 years of recruiting experience in a Corporate Environment

Previous experience with developing and implementing a college recruiting plan

Strong ability to screen, interview, and onboard an ideal candidate within an appropriate and consistent timeline

Extensive knowledge of direct sourcing techniques that attract a qualified and diverse candidate pool

Sourcing experience via resume databases with a basic understanding of Boolean searches

Proven aptitude to execute in a fast-paced professional environment

Clear and effective communication skills

HRCI or SHRM certification

Skills Preferred:

Previous experience recruiting for positions in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
