Be a part of the Care Delivery Organization \u2013 making a difference in people\u2019s lives. In the Receptionist/ Administrative Operations Support for Continucare you will provide a wide variety of administrative and operational support services with duties and responsibilities that may include:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides a professional welcome to all patients and visitors who enter the medical office or call by phone, with courteous greetings and pro-active support.
Performs a detailed process of check-in for patients that includes obtaining and entering patient data, service eligibility, insurance verification, filling out forms, and collecting payments.
Schedules patient appointments that include Primary Care Physician, ancillary services, labs, Specialists, and other. Maintains integrity of the schedules in conjunction with Administration expectations for patient volumes.
Schedules transportation for patient appointments and communicates pro-actively with the Transportation department and other outside transportation vendors for the timely delivery of patients.
Maintains order of patient lobbies ensuring that all patients and visitors are being assisted in a timely fashion, and meeting the needs of patients.
Operates the incoming phone calls to the medical office in a thorough and timely manner, documenting telephonic encounters, gathering patient information, and resolving issues.
Makes outgoing phone calls to confirm appointments for the next day, to follow-up on patient issues, to reschedule appointments, and to communicate other information to patients as needed.
Works with statistical reports generated by Management to create goal-specific appointments for patients and documents these results.
Collaborates closely with inter-departments and specific corporate departments, ensuring that patient data integrity is maintained and services are provided.
Complies with regulatory agency guidelines and HIPPA protocols, and follows organizational procedures and expectations.
Provides feedback and insight to Center Administration with regard to patient experience, schedules, and office environments.
Performs other assignments and projects as assigned by Administration.
High School Diploma or GED
1 year of prior receptionist or customer service experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent customer service skills and telephone skills
Excellent computer skills, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana\u2019s Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, it is also required to be screened for TB and ACHA Level 2 background check is required for your role.
Experience with Geriatrics
Experience with Medicare/Medicaid

In this interview, you will listen to a set of interview questions over your phone and you will provide recorded responses to each question. You should anticipate this interview to take about 15 to 30 minutes. Your recorded interview will be reviewed and you will subsequently be informed if you will be moving forward to next round of interviews.
Testing for role
Any Humana associate who speaks with a member in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency. Applicants will be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.
This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana\u2019s Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB and an ACHA Level 2 background check is required for your role.
