RN/Assistant Manager of Case Management

The RN/Assistant Manager of Case Management has the responsibility of helping recruit, interview, train, coach and manage the Case Management staff. This person will work closely with the Manager of Case Management in leading the Case Management team, specifically with regards to the SCM staff Case Managers.


\tDirectly supervise case management staff: responsible for ensuring case manager compliance, performance management and counseling decisions.
\tMonitor and manage timeliness, accuracy and quality of case management reports.
\tReview case management reports and edit as needed, providing feedback to the responsible Case Manager.
\tHelp to update and maintain current department policy and procedures, including educating and training staff on any changes in a timely manner.
\tMonitor outcomes of the case management program with continuous quality improvement.
\tMonitor and evaluate departmental operations to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
\tWork with customers to ensure compliance with their processes and guidelines.
\tEnsure all customer-required reporting is completed and submitted within the mandated timeframe.
\tWork with Business Operations Department in management of processes, outcomes and process improvement.
\tWork closely with Business Operations Department in completion of URAC accreditation.
\tParticipate with the management team in development of company initiatives and strategic planning.
\tAssist the Case Manager in managing the Administrative Assistant team.


Education and/or Experience:

\tRegistered nurse.
\tBSN and CCM preferred.
\t2 years related experience and/or training in case management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
\t2-3 years’ management experience in the field of case management.

Computer Skills:

\tKnowledge of/or demonstrated ability to learn intermediate-level skills in database software, internet software, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and InfoPath.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

\tRN license in California.
\tCCM preferred.
\tValid driver’s license.
\tValid automobile liability insurance.
