Description\\r \\r Position at Valeron\\r \\r \\r Responsibilities: New Product Development:Develop innovative new and improved products and or processes based on division strategic goals.Work closely with sales, marketing and customers to identify unmet needs.  Develop and launch differentiated products or processes that meet or exceed project requirements.Evaluate proposed projects for technical feasibility and financial return.   Design project plans and implement for approved projects.  Work within division stage-gate process.Manage time and resources (internal and external) to maximize effectiveness and assure timely completion of assigned projects.Technical Support:Qualify new, lower cost and improved raw materials in manufacturing.Utilize the ITW Tool Box including 80/20, In-lining, and Product Line Simplification in project selection and, implementation.Provide timely and effective support to manufacturing, sales and customers.Incumbent decision-making includes evaluation of potential projects including manufacturing capability and/or need for investment in processing equipment or modification; project planning and direction.                                 Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Polymer Science Degree required. An advanced degree in the same field preferred.3 years of experience in film extrusion, lamination and/or orientation preferred.   Knowledge of polymer processing and conversion techniques including printing and coating, adhesive is desired.Demonstrated experience in working with customers and sales to develop and commercialize innovative products and processes that meet or exceed requirements.Excellent communication skills. Experience working with a diverse workforce.Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Access, Excel and statistical analysis software.Proven track record of delivering on R&D projects timely and on budget.COMPETENCIES:Working with and leading people:  Achieve goals working with other personnel and departments.
