Weyerhaeuser is currently recruiting for an experienced leader to fill the role

of Quality/Value Manager. This position is located at the Millport, AL Lumber

Mill. Weyerhaeuser recently announced plans to upgrade the currently operating

8 foot lumber manufacturing facility in Millport to a new, state-of-the-art

random length sawmill. We are beginning our adventure to a high-tech, fast

The position is a full-time, exempt position and reports to the Green Side

Superintendent. The Quality/Value Manager is a key member of the Millport

leadership team. This position is responsible for process management in the areas

of safety, quality, optimization, process reliability, environmental

compliance, and continuous improvement in the green lumber manufacturing from

the log deck to the stacker. Additionally, the Quality/Value Manager leads the Value

team by proactively resolving employee issues, building team-work, and ensuring

adherence to all applicable site policies and procedures in a fair and

consistent manner.

and identifying lumber value mix to maximize millprofitability in fulfilling market demandResponsible for product procurement and tracking inventory

levels to ensure product availabilityEnsures compliance with all applicable Weyerhaeuser,

federal, state, and local laws & regulations

','!*!Bachelor's degree in QA, Wood Science, Forestry, or other

related fieldMinimum three (3) years' Quality Assurance leadership

experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong computer, mathematical, and analytical skillsProficient in Microsoft Office softwareEffective in process control applications such as

spreadsheets and databasesDemonstrated ability to develop, lead, and coach a teamDemonstrated self-starter with excellent time management

skills and ability to perform with minimum supervision or directionAbility to work effectively with individuals at all levels
