Reports to:

Quality Manager

Position Summary:

Performs various auditing functions of established procedures and processes throughout the organization to ensure compliance. Coordinate the adjustment of procedures/processes, when necessary, to facilitate continuous improvement, efficiency and productivity gains. Responsible for coordinating and conducting vendor and sub-contractor audits and reviews. Responsible for understanding and supporting corporate Quality Assurance policy and reaching specific goals by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Schedules, coordinates and performs regular, un-announced audits of department procedures and processes

May work with department personnel to document procedures and process

Responsible for documenting, tracking and communicating audit findings to the appropriate department manager/supervisor and the Quality Manager

Schedules and coordinates vendor and sub-contractor audits and reviews

Responsible for maintaining electronic files of all auditing forms, procedures/processes, files, etc. in an efficient and organized fashion

Responsible for reviewing component or system failures and facilitating required process/procedure changes to correct future failures

Prepares written reports of all audits accomplished

Plays active role on quality management teams within organization

Responsible for interpreting, supporting and communicating corporate Quality Assurance policy, processes, and procedures published by the Director Of Quality Assurance.

Maintains an attitude conducive to progress through positive change, continuous improvement, and an active contribution to teamwork concepts

Required Skills or Tools:

Must have comprehensive knowledge of auditing principles and processes

Must possess exceptional organizational and priority setting skills

Must possess excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization

Must be computer literate in MS Word, Excel, Projects, etc.

Must have general understanding of engineering/design, project management, quality and manufacturing/fabrication practices

Preferred Education/Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent (required)

Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school (preferred).

Five plus years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Strain:

Must be able to work in an often times fast paced atmosphere under pressure.

Occasional overtime will be required.

Occasional lifting up to 30-40 pounds may be required
