The Quality Technician II is

responsible for performing analytical testing at various stages of

compounding and packaging to ensure compliance. Analyzes, calculates, and

records results, and often develops conclusions to support the needs of manufacturing

to maintain continuous process flow. Investigates testing abnormalities, assist

with determination of  root causes of non-conformance, and recommends or

Must be open to overtime and weekends as the business needs.Position Responsibilities

Maintain SAP database to include entering analytical

qualitative results, QM notifications, PM notifications.

Blocks stock and notifies relevant business functions

that problems exist. Evaluates non-conformance data and makes

recommendations for change.

Prepares reagents and solutions for use in testing;

preforms instrument calibration and standardization for conformance and

repeatability.

Performs analytical testing to include pH, acidity,

density, brix, particle size, absorbance/transmittance and other

specialized testing such as proper proportions of ingredients and

stability testing.

Calculates batch adjustments as needed. 

File and maintain retained samples for shelf  life

and investigative testing.

Ensures that all product produced meets quality

specifications by inspecting sanitation, recipe compliance, labeling, fill

weights, configuration, and food safety compliance.

Writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from

existing standards, calculates statistical results for KPI reporting.

Performs internal audits that observe and evaluate

conditions and practices in compounding, packaging,  and finished

goods storage areas, notating gaps and making recommendations for

improvement.

Maintains laboratory inventory of supplies to include

chemical, instrumentation, micro, and sample containers to ensure an

adequate supply to prevent testing delays.Participate in special projects, as determined and delegated by Quality Management.
