We are currently seeking a Quality Manager to join our team at our Waco, TX plant.\u00a0 JOB SUMMARY This is a management position accountable for managing and continuously improving all internal and external plant assurance of quality systems. Assist in the development of the plant\u2019s quality plan to help create and maintain a customer-focused organization. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (All other duties as assigned) \u2022 Assist plant team in setting and maintaining quality objectives and assures plant quality objectives are being met. Identify appropriate tasks and schedules required training to accomplish goals and continuous improvement in the process. \u2022 Perform advanced quality system responsibilities in accordance with product control manual. \u2022 Assist in organizing and understanding customer satisfaction based upon product and service performance. \u2022 Effectively communicate customer\u2019s issues and perspectives to all plant personnel, including floor level, on a routine and timely basis. Works directly with all departments in quality issues and in preventative and corrective actions. \u2022 Facilitate problem solving activity through TQM, team building and quality systems tools and methods. Work with the line and process supervisors in identifying negative quality trends and repetitive defects. Assist in the problem solving process. \u2022 Participate as a customer liaison, ensures consistency of 5 UPS, make customer visits as appropriate and assist in implementing customer quality management systems. \u2022 Investigate customer complaints and work with appropriate management to resolve issues. Assist process managers in preparing customer complaint responses and maintain data base on all customer complaints. \u2022 Apply technical expertise in problem identification in the following areas: Glass properties\/bottles design\/attributes Line\/handling requirements Carton specifications\/makeup\/requirements Customer processing Fracture analysis \u2022 Administration of in-plant and outside warehouse GMP programs and may direct outside warehouse reselect activity. \u2022 Responsible for sampling requests. \u2022 Work with plant management team to develop standard operating procedures. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS This position reports to the Plant Manager. Direct reports to this position include: Assistant Quality Managers and APQE\u00a0 Position Requirements: SCOPE AND IMPACT Work directly with all departments in quality issues and in preventative and corrective actions. Serve as plant leader and primary participant in all supplier certification programs. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent required. Experience in a supervisory role as well as 2-4 years relevant experience with specialized or technical knowledge in Total Quality Management, problem solving, and customer interaction. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS This position reports to the Plant Manager. Direct reports to this position include: Assistant Quality Managers and APQE Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
