SUMMARY OF POSITION:

We are actively seeking an on shift Quality Lab Technician at our Huggies Baby Wipes manufacturing facility in Maumelle, AR.  The Quality Lab Technician will conduct our finished product, raw materials, personnel, and environmental testing.  To be successful, the Quality Lab Technician should be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, aseptic technique, Good Laboratory Practices, and Current Good Manufacturing Practices for cosmetics.  They should also have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to work well both independently and collaboratively as a team.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work safely and protect the safety of others

Perform quality tasks in and outside of the lab including finished product, water, raw material, personnel, and environmental microbiological testing.

Participate in sanitization audits.

Perform computer data entry.

Create, review, and modify Quality work instructions and forms.

Create and review QMS records using good documentation practices.

Properly identify and react to quality issues.

Flow to work to support quality team needs.

Work 12 hour rotating shifts and be available to work overtime as needed.

Perform work in a safe manner.

Aseptically conduct microbiological testing in a timely manner.

Keep testing supplies, quality lab, storage, and work areas organized, clean, and sanitized (where applicable) to avoid cross contamination.

Receive and document receipt of quality supplies as well as retrieve, review, and record applicable COAs and/or COCs.

Record daily testing and activities in various logbooks utilizing good documentation practices.

Perform verifications on calibrated equipment as needed.

Assist in validation studies as needed.

Conduct record audits. 

Maintain up to date knowledge regarding sector and facility converting and coform quality needs.

Provide feedback to appropriate personnel regarding GMP issues.

Have Operations shut asset down to correct immediate quality issues as necessary.

Other duties as business needs dictate.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Candidate must be able to work fixed 12 hour shifts, which may include holidays,    weekends and overtime.

Candidate must be willing to work a fixed 12 hour day/night shift schedule.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

2 years previous laboratory and/or quality experience at an FDA regulated facility BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

Capable of prioritizing tasks to meet goals and ensure product quality.

Strong Analytical skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills-both written and verbal.

Working knowledge of Microsoft WORD and EXCEL.

Demonstrate ability to learn and work in EtQ and EWMA.

Ability to effectively influence; possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to adjust communication style to differing audiences.

Ability to develop a working knowledge of operational tasks required of Maumelle colleagues.

Demonstrate initiative, self-motivation, and adaptability.

High School diploma or GED equivalency.
