Quality Inspector

SUMMARY

Responsible for daily receiving of material, shipping finished products, material handling, incoming inspection, final inspection, data entry, inventory stocking and distribution of materials and equipment throughout the facility. This position is also responsible, under supervision, for ensuring all hazardous/dangerous materials are packaged within Department of Transportation/International Air Transport Association regulations for both national and international shipments.

Quality Inspector, under the guidance of the Quality Supervisor, is responsible for performing QC inspections and lot data recording in compliance with EnerSys QA manual and AS9100\ISO9001. Quality Inspector assists the Quality Supervisor to accurately prepare documentation and administrative coordination for all outgoing products. The Quality Inspector will receive materials and process through to materials control. The Quality Inspector will perform dimensional inspections up to and including First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs, records, and reports results of incoming inspection.

QA recordkeeping,

Recording and reporting non-conformances.

Assists in preparation of final source inspection documentation.

Assists in preparation of FAI documentation.

Maintains neat and organized workspace.

uses standard inspection instruments such as micrometers, calipers, CMM, optical comparators for dimensional inspections.

Required Skills

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

2-5 years experience as inspector in high-reliability company.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and procedures.

Able to travel to acquire referenced training and support off-site processes.

Ability and experience utilizing magnification aids to perform inspection tasks.

Computer experience (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Accreditation, Certificates, License

Must be able to certify to NASA, IPC Standards which include the ability to meet the minimum Far, Near and Color vision requirements of the NASA STD 8739 manufacturing series. Vision requirements may be met with corrected vision.
