Function: Quality Engineering
Title: Quality Engineer - 34968
As a Quality Engineer, for the John Deere Seeding Group (Valley City), you will be integrated into the order fulfillment and/or product development quality engineering process. In addition, you will:
Create and execute quality plan activities for all new product and continuously improvement projects by communication with design engineers, leading event tracking meetings, participation in product delivery team meetings, including the use of the c-projects tracking tool.
Execute quality processes by participation on multi-functional teams that include manufacturing, design, operations, production planning, supply management, suppliers, and wage personnel.
Identify and execute quality improvement projects in the natural work team environment, which includes wage and salaried personnel.
Execute the Part Approval process for new product programs and continuous improvement, which include identification of control activities and completion of those activities.
Perform improvement activities with direct material production suppliers by using corrective action techniques, including root cause analysis, supplier quality audits, and participation in supply management commodity teams.
Documentation of quality processes.
Provide quality performance feedback to the organization.
Support CI200 and HP activities tied specifically into the No Till and opener lines.

What Skills You Need
Experience facilitating project planning activities
Experience with data analysis
Knowledge in engineering principles, theory, and practice
Demonstrated teamwork attributes
Ability to work with multi-functional teams to investigate, gather and analyze data for continuous improvement
Skill in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook
What Makes You Stand Out
Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:
Electrical and/or Hydraulic experience
Ability to read blueprints
Education (or equivalent work experience)
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or Mathematics
