Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems (NGAS) and Autonomous Systems Division seeks a Quality Control Technician (Inspector) 3 to join our team located in San Diego, California at the Rancho Bernardo site and will report to the Product Excellence functional organization. The Quality Control Technician will support multiple programs such as Triton, Global Hawk platform and Fire Scout..

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Quality Control Technician will support Avionics lab, Environmental test lab, System Integration labs, Ground equipment, Incoming and Shipping areas.

* Uses inspection methods, operations, drawings, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect incoming, in-process and completed assemblies to determine acceptance of product.

* The types of products can include piece parts, electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units, subassemblies and Ground equipment.

* Supports various types of testing (Acceptance, Electrical, Environmental, Functional, and Software).

* Performs assigned audits (FOE/FOD, Production Process related) * Performs analyses and tests of raw materials, packaging materials, and/or finished products from manufacturing, to ensure quality standards and compliance to customer and regulatory requirements, and tolerance specifications for the chemical or physical property.

* Performs a variety of qualitative tests or qualitative assays on samples, and to aid in maintenance and certification of test instruments and apparatus to ensure compliance.

* Prepares and monitors quality statistics and reports.

* Reviews production records for conformance to procedures.

* Conducts non-conformance tests of manufactured, packaged or tested product. o #

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

* High school diploma plus 5 years relevant inspection work experience OR 3 years with an AA degree

* Must be willing to work any shift, overtime or non-standard work schedule.

* Must be able to work around composites, epoxies, and sealants for long periods of time.

* Must be technically proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

* Must be able to perform moderately strenuous physical and repetitious work to include climbing, bending, crawling, stooping, and kneeling, lifting, working with arms overhead, leaning and laying.

* Must be able Lift, grip, push, pull and hold 25 pounds.

* Must be able to work in and around Confined spaces to include but not limited to fuel tanks and ducts.

* Must be able to push and pull own body weight to enter and exit confined spaces.

* Must have an active secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working with Avionics, Cables, and Harnesses

* Experience with Manufacturing Execution System (MES); Shop floor tool

* Experience with MRB; Material Review Board
