Job LocationsUS-NJ-Jersey CityRequisition ID2018-6923CategoryOperationsPosition TypeRegular Full-TimeOverviewA member of the NY DBL administrative team who maintains and services New York State Disability Benefits Law policies. This position entails extensive interaction with policyholders, brokers and general agents via verbal and written communication. The Quality Control Analyst will plan, conduct and report the daily quality control results for the Disability and Paid family Leave policy-processing department. This analyst will make recommendations for training based on results. The analyst will also monitor correction requests and will follow up to ensure corrections are made on a timely basis. ResponsibilitiesPRIMARY FUNCTIONS:Execute daily quality control activity in accordance with schedule dictated by department supervisor.Pull samples from each assigned processor for quality control review based on established guidelines.Pull samples relating to special concern areas; forms, specific rates, states with stringent guidelines.Report results to management on a weekly and monthly summary basis.Recommend action and training based on monthly findings.Take on special projects as they arise to insure a quality document is produced.Manage manual census processes associated with policyholder employee data.Manage customer file upload process associated with collecting employee wage data for premium billing.Review customer files for accuracy and correct if necessary.Respond to and initiate correspondence with policyholder. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS DURING PEAK TIMES:Maintain and update on-line policyholder information. For example, issue new policies, add additional entities and proprietorship coverage, address and name changes.Respond to phone inquiries from policyholders and producers.Process broker of record changes.Cancel policies as requested by policyholders and producers. Issue refunds for unearned premium or overpayment of premium.Follow-up for premium on cancelled policies and identify claims to be recovered on replaced policies.Coordinate and follow-up with collection agencies on delinquent accounts for collection of earned premium.Compile licensing information for new agents and brokers. Ensures that all producers are properly licensed with the State of New York. Maintain and update on-line broker file.Respond to requests for duplicate policies, bills and DB120.1 certificates.
