PPG's Circleville, Ohio, Plant is the company's center for resin production. Our sophisticated polymer resins are used in PPG paint-making plants from North America to China and are compounded into an assortment of finishes serving different markets, but primarily the automotive market.

Key Responsibilities *

The PPG resin manufacturing facility in Circleville, Ohio is seeking to fill a Quality Assurance Lab Technician opening. This position performs complex chemical and physical tests on all intermediates, in-process and finished goods, to ensure property conformance to rigid quality standards. Tests performed include: viscosity, total solids, weight per gallon, hydroxyl number, infrared analysis, gas chromatography, particle size, epoxy equivalent, and acid & base numbers.

Experience and Education *

Preferred candidates will have post high school advanced chemistryandat least two years of experience as a quality lab technician, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Functional and Technical Skills *

Fundamental mechanical, observation, computer & communication abilities, and skills in all laboratory techniques & equipment are required. Must be able to work without immediate supervision, work a 24/7 rotating schedule including some weekends and interact with plant functions outside the technical group. Each QA Lab Technician is a critical part of the QC Department; therefore dependability and reliability are essential. Candidates must successfully pass the PPG technician test battery.
