How will you make an impact?

The Quality Assurance (QA) Designer establishes quality audits and training curricula, including teaching newly hired designers about the print production quality processes performed within The Agency. The QA Designer’s goal is to help train and develop The Agency’s internal and external production designers to consistently produce the highest quality output.

What will you do?

The Quality Assurance Designer will be responsible for establishing and overseeing quality plans and procedures. This includes developing standard operating procedures for specific work processes in print and layout design, and ensuring associates are in compliance with our branding guidelines and templates. The QA Designer also works to deliver quality checks required at various stages of production, including template adherence, layout draft, QC review, printer proofs, correct pagination, and proper trimming and folds.

Furthermore, the QA Designer is responsible for:

•Managing and/or participating on project teams to provide quality control expertise to projects and initiatives

•Establishing quality audits and analysis to ensure that only the highest quality products are delivered to our business partners

How will you get here?


•Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a graphic design–related field


•Must have at least 7 years of experience in a printing production environment

•Demonstrated knowledge of graphic arts, including art creation, design, prepress, ink, and substrate specifications

•Knowledge of the following distinct printing processes: flexography, offset/lithography, xerography, digital, letterpress, screen, binding, and finishing

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

•Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others while at the same time handle negotiations to meet expectations benefiting the overall project

•Willingness to work a variable schedule (including nights and weekends) when required to help facilitate the production quality of major projects
