Quality Analyst

In this role, your aptitude for and passionate interest in how things work will be heavily utilized every day as you investigate and evaluate engine and outdoor equipment failures that have been submitted via warranty claims to your department. You will service as the subject matter expert when discussing the details and merits of these claims with our equipment dealers and engine customers, and in doing so, will be responsible for spotting trends and emerging product quality issues and reporting on those trends for use by the companys other Quality professionals using specialized software applications. Job Responsibilities Processes and resolves warranty claims received from dealers, OEMs, and retailer accounts Investigates and reports on product failures and unusual dealer warranty trends Provides counsel on various warranty system and eClaim support/enhancements Gathers and analyzes claim data in preparation for various dealer audits Provides assistance to warranty analysts in parts return as requested Analyzes moderately complex warranty trend data and identifies warranty reduction projects; compiles and presents overview of warranty trend metrics Identifies emerging issues through the use of statistical techniques; compiles and presents emerging issues to key stakeholders Provides warranty and service history feedback and forecasts basic trends to necessary departments Participates in Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities Your skills and experience in these areas will contribute to success in this role: Strong mechanical aptitude Demonstrated ability to problem solve and perform analysis techniques Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with diverse groups of people Strong skills with data analysis/query tools Excellent customer service skills Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and make independent decisions in a fast paced environment Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location. Educational Requirements Associate s degree in related technical field or equivalent education/experience. Experience Requirements Minimum of five years similar experience in technical positions, data analysis roles or engine manufacturing. Customer interaction is strongly preferred.
