Koch-Glitsch LP located in Wichita, KS has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Inspector to work Week Days.  In this role, we are looking for someone who is detailed oriented with a strong sense of urgency and a passion for quality!   Week Day Shift hours are: Tuesday-Friday 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. 
Job Responsibilities include: 

Complete final inspections in accurate and timely manner demonstrating an understanding of how the product fits together. Stop, think and ask if design or fabrication results appear to be unusual or not right
Identify and drive initiatives to eliminate rework by facilitating improvement(s) to quality system processes
Assisting the shipping department with setups and crating orders
Demonstrate working knowledge of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and standards, OSI, PMI, MTRs, LPT, etc. including all applicable QMS procedures & forms / documentation
Correctly interprets drawings, customer requirements and quality documentation
Correctly completes all required forms, etc., including order specific customer documentation
Demonstrates product knowledge of inspection techniques and proper use of all necessary tools and gauges
Ensures documentation of identified non-conformities of product(s) or processes with NCR program and conducts effective root cause investigations of non-conformities. Recommends corrective and preventive actions
Performs in-house PMI with Niton Analyzer and has working knowledge of machine capabilities and limitations
Effectively works with others to implement improvements to quality and/or performance
Is in compliance with all QMS requirements and procedures, including being current on training on revisions to documents and record keeping.
Effectively communicates customer, QMS and job requirements to other employees, outside inspectors, and suppliers
Performs accurate onsite inspections of suppliers. Has effective communication with suppliers on acceptance / rejection criteria. Follows up on any actions items (SCAR) from supplier inspections so that they are resolved in an accurate and efficient manner
Must be able to conduct inspections professionally, safely and without bias
Is available for overtime and On-call as needed

Education, Work Experience & Skills Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Blueprint reading experience
Basic Computer Skills with MS Office Products (Outlook, Word & Excel)
Strong Basic Math skills including calculation of angles, bend radius, etc.
Knowledge of how to use a calculator
Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers
Ability to work overtime and on-call as needed

 Education, Work Experience & Skills Preferred:

Quality Control Inspection experience in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment
1 Years’ Experience with Sheet Metal Manufacturing or Design
Ability to ensure that nonconformities of product and process are documented using proprietary and Office Suite tools in accordance with the ISO 9001 standard
Liquid Penetrant Testing Experience
Weld Inspection experience
Positive Material Identification experience

Physical Demands/Unusual Work Conditions

Visual acuity must be correctable to shop Quality standards
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
Must be able to stand for long hours in a non-climate controlled environment
Available for on-call and overtime as needed
