position open which will be responsible for the Ocala, FL



Our Puritan Plus Driver drives primarily a straight or box truck and functions as primary contact, fills and delivers medical gases, liquid oxygen, equipment and supplies to customer's place of business or patients homes on a scheduled route.


Delivers liquid oxygen systems to businesses, hospitals, and patients home.

Fills and inspects home patient liquid oxygen systems and all other cylinders.

Upload, deliver and download safely to customers, equipment and supplies as well as cylinders containing medical gases; and return empty cylinders to plant for refilling.

Perform pre and post trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies and ensure all parts are in safe working order.

Maintain neat, clean professional appearance and manner at all times.

Establish and maintain good customer relations at all times.

Maintain load manifests and all other mandated vehicle documents, ensuring they are properly completed and balanced with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries are made.

Load and unload trucks in a safe and secure manner.

Observe and adhere strictly to safety rules at all times.

Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.

Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations.


Perform counter sales and assist customers when necessary.

Assist with inspection and filling of cylinders.

Assist with inventory, housekeeping, showroom displays, and demonstrations as required.

Other duties and projects as assigned.



High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Must be at least 21 years of age and have at least 1 year driving experience or have attended and passed an accredited truck driving school.

Must have a clean driving record and a valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements and airbrakes.

Industry and related product knowledge as well as experience handling and delivering medical gases preferred.

Customer service or sales experience required.

Computer experience or basic knowledge a plus.


Must meet all physical qualification standards imposed by regulation for drivers.

Strong verbal communication skills, self-starter, self-motivated, sense of urgency, well-organized, ability to achieve goals, and ability to focus and pay attention to detail.

Ability to analyze a customer's situation and help resolve customer problem.

Team player with positive attitude.

No at-fault accidents or moving violations in previous 3 years.

Ability to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

Ability to routinely lift 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs.

Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; Frequent bending also required.

Must be able to work outdoors in varying temperatures.

Ability to perform functions during occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling and finger activities.

Must be able to operate in a drug- and alcohol-free workplace.
