Are you interested in creating awareness and fostering a positive corporate image at a Fortune 500 company by developing and executing effective communication and media relations programs? As a public relations specialist, you will play an integral part in nurturing a strong industry network, and developing Micron's corporate image with key influencers and stakeholders such as customers, partners, current and potential employees, local education and government.


*Develop proactive public relations programs for Micron working in partnership with business units and our content marketing team *Partnering with wider team members in Global Communications and Marketing, including country communications, social media, internal communications, content marketing, sales and manufacturing and supply chain communications teams to ensure PR is a key strategy in our communications mix *Establish strong relationship with the social media team to engage audiences across traditional and new media *Actively protect the brand by developing messaging, handling media and partnering with corporate and develop rapid response messaging to breaking news and issues

*Create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations *Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a quarterly basis *Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness *Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them

Qualifications and Experience:

*Proven working experience in public relations required, preferably working closely with major corporations either in house or agency *Experience of handling corporate issues and navigating complex legal, HR and employment questions *Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at local, national and regional levels *Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry trade media outlets *Exceptional writing and editing skills *Solid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, and ability to advise on key local-market specific social outlets. *Event planning experience


*BA/MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related discipline
