Koch Fertilizer, LLC is seeking a motivated and self-driven Project Manager to join our Koch Fertilizer Operations Excellence Project Management group the role could be based in the following locations: Kansas, Oklahoma, Iowa, Nebraska, and Missouri. This role as a Koch Fertilizer, Project Managers play an instrumental role in identifying, developing, engineering, and executing diverse projects at our facilities across North America. Projects range in scope and size, providing a continually changing and dynamic learning environment.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

The successful candidate will be an integral member on our project engineering teams during FEL & execution of capital asset projects. Typical responsibilities are to lead conceptual project development, front-end engineering, detailed design and construction, continuing through commissioning and post startup project analysis. The Project Manager will be responsible for developing the business objectives, project scopes of work (engineering & construction), AFE package, project execution plan, procurement, construction, and cost control packages. Experience with managing 8-10 projects in the $1-20M range using industry best practices in setting business objectives, developing scope and scope control, developing and integration of team members, project controls, front end loading, and disciplined phased gate project process to accomplish company objectives and deliver competitive projects.

What You Will Need:Basic Qualifications:

7 years’ experience managing small and medium capital projects

Experience managing 6 - 8 projects at one time, in various stages

Good communication skills

Experience identifying root issue/opportunities, developing scopes of work, and capital estimates

Good economic thinking skills to determine best alternative

Experience working in a refining, chemical, or petrochemical facility or similar industry experience

Bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma with 10 years of relevant working experience 

What Will Put You Ahead?Preferred Qualifications:

10 years’ experience working on small and medium capital projects

Experience working with Project Controls

Construction management experience

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering

PMP certification

Physical Requirements:

Ability to enter operating facility sites to access and inspect equipment and construction progress.

Ability to utilize ladders and platforms in excess of 100'

Ability to enter confined spaces and be capable of utilizing all required personal protective equipment
