Right now, we are seeking a Project manager, based at Western Union’s global headquarters in Englewood, Colorado.\r

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end project delivery of large strategic initiatives. You will provide leadership and overall management of all project work streams, playing both a leadership and individual contributor role where applicable. You will negotiate and manage scope and schedule. You will also facilitate global, cross-functional teams to ensure that solutions are viable across the company, and will lead the development and implementation of technology platforms, processes, workflows and tools that ensure the teams’ and programs’ ongoing success. You will provide and host status meetings with the program stakeholders, team members and executive management.
In addition, you will:

Plan, organize, manage, and execute complex work streams across multiple organizations and stakeholders

Manage all program resources, including third party vendors, project managers, etc. and ensure alignment with overall program deliverables\r

Determine overall program and project milestones and work with all stakeholders to monitor progress \r

Possess a strong bias for action, strategic planning skills, analysis, and the ability to organize and deliver initiatives\r

Establish key program metrics and provide reporting to stakeholders and executive management \r

Ensure constant communication, coordination, and information sharing, to ensure project alignment\r

Continuously monitor the impact of project delivery functions to the organization and make recommendations considering efficiency, resource usage, and metrics
Collaborate with project sponsor and ensure continuous alignment on deliverables and overall solution\r

Effectively manage project stakeholder involvement to ensure collaboration/support; recommend and/or implement change when needed\r

Develop implementation plans across the organization to ensure seamless delivery of project into production
Manage all technology resources and work streams within the project
Responsible for all project conflict resolution and escalation concerns\r

Host steering committee meetings to address escalations and provide status to executive management\r


8 years managing large scale technology projects
Experience in the financial services industry or other highly regulated industry
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and/or equivalent work experience\r

Practical knowledge of SDLC\r

PMI/PMP or certification from an accredited university is highly desirable \r

Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems, and recommend sound conclusions and implementation strategies \r

Team player with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic environment\r

Ability to create structure and provide leadership in ambiguous situations
Ability to excel both independently and in a team environment\r

Excellent facilitation, collaboration skills\r

Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information\r

Display business acumen in reviewing and understanding the business requirements as well as the technology requirements
Substantive understanding of Western Union’s products and services preferred\r
