Position Summary:

If you enjoy the world of industrial automation and are familiar with an array of industrial automation products such as pushbuttons, pilot lights, relays, PLC's and HMI's, to integrate hardware and software for system development, come join our team!

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Development of business team strategic plans for a portfolio of projects ($7 to $12mil)

Customer facing Commercial Project Manager responsible for successfully planning, controlling and managing project deliverables to meet customer requirements.

Manage system design efforts lead by SME Lead Engineers that will help guide the team through development, integration and deployment of deliverables directly to the customer.

Manage all financial aspects and reporting of assigned projects, while maintaining as-sold margins.

Lead multiple project teams typically consisting of engineering, manufacturing, testing and quality teams.

Responsible for resource scheduling to meet project plan requirements.

Change Management / Contract Management - Must have excellent negotiation skills.

Responsible for managing subcontracts that include labor and/or fixed price deliverables.

Helps Sales build partnerships at the business management level of key customers

Often leads efforts to prepare commercial strategy for complex system applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.

Minimum 8 years of experience with direct customer contact and project management.

Minimum 8 years of experience in a systems, software, process automation or application engineering capacity.

Must be Project Management Professional (PMP) certified.

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS

Further education in business administration, operations, or project management is a plus.

Possesses industry, application or technology knowledge relevant to assigned business or geography- specifically the wastewater/aluminum and steel industries within an engineering to order environment.

Proven success at simultaneously managing multiple projects.

Able to work in a stressful environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged.

Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.

Have excellent conflict resolution and people interface skills.

Perform duties in the office as part of a project team.

Available and willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays to meet customer project commitments.

Ability to travel up to 15%

Able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial plants, ships, etc., which may require climbing, working in confined spaces and other unusual work environments.

Possess critical competencies as defined in the Project Manager Competency Profile.
