Project Manager Staff

Basic Function:

This position is part of the Global Supplier Management (GSM) organization. The Supply Chain Organization is critical to the success of Lam Research and we are looking for talent that will help continue our journey to becoming a world class supply chain. In this position, you, as a Program Manager, play a vital role in supporting development of the supply chain commodity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Project management of materials readiness for multiple products involving numerous suppliers

- Development and deployment of new suppliers for critical technology in a fast-pace, high mix, low volume environment.

- Experience in capacity planning.

- Mechanical aptitude in an operation producing tight tolerance, precision, copy-exact parts.

- Strong communicator capable of developing and delivering compelling arguments and presentations.

- Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint

- Understanding of tech documents (i.e. blue prints/drawings).

- Write effective reports progress of projects.

- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Lams quality management system and properly apply quality procedures and operating procedures as appropriate.

- Carry out special projects and all other additional duties as assigned.

- Eligible to receive deemed exports of EAR or ITAR controlled technology.

Qualifications:

Preferred is a Bachelors Degree in Engineering and 10 years business experience

Demonstrated project management skills

Self starter, high enthusiasm

Proven ability to gain partnerships and excel on a cross-functional team with product, manufacturing, quality and reliability engineers as well as procurement, finance, and product support. Experience in procurement and supplier management desirable.

Proficiency in the use of personal computers to include knowledge in the use of the

Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Must be able to work effectively individually and in a team environment.

Must be able to pay close attention to details.

Must be able to perform successfully under minimum supervision.

Must be able to attain sufficient task success to establish credibility with management, staff and employees.

Working Relationships:

Must work effectively with organizational personnel with various degrees of education, work experience, and understanding of quality terms.
