Summary:

Manages, directs and coordinates the Project team in the successful kick-off, execution, completion, and close-out of all projects involving Exterran Product Lines. Should have working knowledge of gas process packaging, compression equipment, manufacturing design and fabrication. Should be proficient in working with other Department Managers (Design, Instrumentation & Electrical Engineering, Applications Engineering, Accounting, Purchasing and Manufacturing) to ensure adequate resources are available to ensure successful completion of all projects. Must have ability to lead Senior Project Managers, Project Managers and/or Project Coordinators in best practices and established procedures and processes. Works with no supervision required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Ensures attainment of project schedules, budgets, procedures and revenues by developing and monitoring the budget and approval process

Monitoring the project progress and budget during design and fabrication

Acts as a single point of contact for customer during design and fabrication of project

Ensure that project team, vendors, and customers adhere to project schedule

Document and handle project scope changes, communicate revised project schedule and issues change orders for customer approval

Conduct internal and customer kick off meetings, participates on cross-functional teams, internal and external; addresses inter-departmental issues; establishing and communicating project schedules, objectives, priorities, and targets

Coordinates technical interpretation as required

Ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, government regulations, and customer specifications; ensuring the documentation of project activities and deliverables

Keeps upper management informed on project status by reporting on project status such as: identifying risks, tests, costs, issues, and performance to established targets on a regular basis

Works on moderate to high complexity projects and/or key accounts

May work with 3

party inspection and/or EPC firms

Make business case presentations

Researches business and technical issues to establish what is being done and where improvements are possible

Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and supportive manner

Conducts regular customer visits and provides feedback to management and understanding customer requests

Leads/Attends in project closure meetings and financial meetings

Comply with Sarbanes-Oxley process requirements

Trains and/or mentors Senior Project Managers, Project Managers and Project Coordinators

Required Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Engineering or related field or 15 years related experience

Ten years project management experience in manufacturing industry

35 hours of documented PMI training

Physical Strain:

Standard requirements. Bending, squatting, climbing, stooping, twisting and reaching will all be required occasionally in this position

Sitting for long periods of time

Lifting 10 pounds maximum with occasional lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds

May be required to work at heights of up to 25 feet

Must meet all OSHA regulations and must wear all required PPE when in the shop environment.

PMP Certification

Experience with MRP systems

Working with multi-discipline teams

Strong communication skills

Familiarity with packaged equipment

Proficient with project scheduling using Microsoft Project, Primavera or other PM software.

Familiarity with ASME and API industry standards

Extensive experience in customer service

Strong business acumen and understanding of international market trends

Knowledge of shipping and commercial (INCO TERMS 2010) terminology

Understanding of banking terminology such as: LC, Performance Bond, etc.

Experience with KPI’s; inventory turns, on time delivery, absorption, etc.
