Position Overview The Project Management Director of the Multifamily Offerings Management team is seeking a Project Management Manager to join the team. Multifamily Offerings Management is responsible for ensuring the divisions highest priorities (new business initiatives and one-time transactions) are well supported and executed in an efficient, timely and controlled manner. Further, Offerings Management oversees the planning, implementation and deployment of strategic initiatives and acts as the primary liaison between stakeholders throughout the corporation. Offerings Management determines if new initiatives/offerings are in-scope of New Business Initiatives (NBI)Corporate Standard 11-204 or require regulatory submission (FHFA). On an ongoing basis, the candidate will lead evolution of the Multifamily change governance process to align with corporate changes as well as changes in the business.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Navigate sponsors of new initiatives/offerings through both Multifamily and New Business Initiatives (NBI) processes to ensure all relevant stakeholders across the corporation understand, identify and assess all initiative risks to ensure proper management prior to execution.
Collaborate with offering sponsors and stakeholders across the organizational business lines to provide resolution to outstanding offering issues and communicate outcomes, up, down and across the firm to ensure transparency and initiative scope.
Spearhead Multifamily change governance forums to identify, assess and vet business, counterparty, credit or systematic risks resulting from the introduction of new initiatives/offerings, or proposed changes to existing offerings, policies or procedures.
Assist in determining if a new initiative/offering meets the definition of a New Business Initiative (NBI) per the Corporate Standard 11-204 or if new initiative/offering requires Federal Housing Finance Administration (FHFA) regulatory submission by analyzing risk assessments.
Oversee the management of the Multifamily initiatives pipeline to relevant stakeholders, which reports and tracks the progress and performance of strategic initiatives prioritized by Senior Management.
Ability to facilitate large meetings, often including senior leadership with confidence and synthesize information to develop recommendations and drive to execution.
Champion the voice of the initiative Sponsor and business line needs within the Offerings Management Lifecycle.
Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies.
Demonstrate can-do attitude and strong work ethics.
Ability to learn quickly and document meeting outcomes and next steps accurately is critical.
Employ analytical skills and creativity to develop and consider alternative options/solutions.
Provide support to Project Management Director and VP of Business Management as needed.
Qualifications Typically 8-10 years of related experience in project management/product development.
2+ years of management experience preferred.
College degree or equivalent experience.
Experience managing projects using standard project management methodology.
Understanding of the mortgage industry, preferably commercial or multifamily real estate (origination, underwriting, securitization).
Strong facilitation and communication (verbal and written) skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with management (business), stakeholders, project team members, IT and vendors.
Skilled in use of MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project).
Sharepoint experience is a plus.
