Position Summary:

The qualified candidate will have strong managerial skills, technical design and permitting experience, and construction management experience and will perform a broad range of managerial professional, technical and analytical work. 


Provide project management, engineering and technical support for Preventative Maintenance and small CAPEX Projects related to the storing and distribution of chemicals and small package materials.

Perform CAPEX Budget Planning and forecasting, detailed oversight of designs, scope planning, project budgeting, scheduling and construction management services for capitalized projects.

Continually strive to keep safety a priority.

Prepare business justifications for capital projects; develop thorough project execution plans; manage project changes and impact to cost and schedule; conduct various meetings and contractor walk-throughs at the site; determine environmental permit requirements

Identify and analyze safety, efficiencies and cost savings opportunities; prepares and present oral and written reports to management, highlighting findings and recommendations. 

Oversees product and packaging changes for the facility.

Oversee National Maintenance Contracts for PM and small projects

Participates in various programs such as but not limited to, NFPA 25 Fire Inspection and PM program, Tank Farm Containment Integrity Program, Tank Inspection and Preventative Maintenance program, Mechanical Integrity Program for equipment and piping, Roof Inspection, Cleaning, PM and replacement program

Develops basic PM Program requirements, conceptual ideas and generates cost estimates/schedules pertaining to the design and installation of process and auxiliary equipment, and/or modification and alteration of warehouse/production facilities; oversees PM service contractors;

Manage a portfolio of improvement and small capital projects including the scope, cost and schedule aspects of the work

Work in a team environment and negotiate in a matrix organization the necessary team members from internal resources such as Health and Safety and Operations staff.

Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Engineering.  A combination of education and experience will be considered.

5-10 years relevant experience in Project Engineering and/or Project Management.

Experience in working in a corporate environment with multiple internal stakeholders, onsite construction management experience and a working knowledge of commonly utilized systems such as annual budgeting, procurement of services and equipment, and capital appropriation processes

Experience in managing outside engineering firms and other consultants to execute the various phases of a project

Demonstrated knowledge of chemical processes and methodologies

Demonstrated success planning, prioritizing and managing multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects. 

Strong project management skills

Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to collaborate cross functionally.  

Excellent verbal  and written communication and interpersonal skills

Must be proficient in the MS Office Package and have advanced data analysis skills

Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
