A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

The Project Cost Analyst / Project Control Engineer is the project Subject Matter Expert for all areas related to project cost, project schedule, change management and project forecasting and reporting.  The person in this role must be adapt in P6, Microsoft Access (or other databases such as Visual Basic) and Excel. The role is responsible for providing vital inputs to daily project progress, periodic project progress, and status reports to all levels of management and stakeholders.  The role is also responsible for monitoring, tracking and reporting project cash flow.  This position requires either onsite assignment and / or direct day-to-day contact with the project team, and holds the responsibility for planning and preparing labor hour budgets and schedules, as well as preparing and submitting accurate and timely detailed project financial analysis reports.  The role also assists in the preparation and maintenance of project control policies and procedures, while training project personnel in matters related to project controls.  The role will directly interface with the responsible project personnel to obtain periodic status updates of budget, progress, forecasts, schedules, and issues.  Assistance in the identification and resolution of the project scope, budget, and scheduling issues will also be needed.

What you will need:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or higher

Five (5) or more years of experience in project controls, turnaround, and/or project management  

Significant interaction in leadership of estimating and/or scheduling 

Willing and able to travel at minimum 50% based on project needs

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business Management

Experience working within a construction environment and working with construction personnel

Experience with cost management, schedule management, risk management, and estimating

Experience working in the Pulp and Paper Industry

Experience with Primavera
