We support our employees with opportunities to participate in ongoing development training and support groups.   Southwestern Energy is currently the third largest producer of natural gas in the lower 48 states and we operate one of the largest gas gathering systems in the United States.  We own three major assets which are located in northeast Pennsylvania, West Virginia and southwest Pennsylvania, and in Arkansas’ Fayetteville Shale. The role of the Project Analyst is responsible for supporting project management, communications and change management activities for small to large projects, requiring cross-functional / business engagement, with limited supervision (Note: Level II may lead or own project or change management activities for select low-risk projects)Responsibilities Supports the definition of project scope, stakeholders, goals and deliverables based on business requirementsBasic knowledge of project management techniques and tools (2-3 years of related experience)Basic knowledge of change management techniques and tools (2-3 years of related experience)Supports project administration needs, tasks, timelines, budget, reporting, and resource requirementsSupports project planning activity and coordination of project staffDevelops and utilizes data gathering tools and methods to analyze and gather data needed for project requirementsAnalyzes parameters including costs, timelines, technical functions, benefits and risks of projectsProvides quality assuranceMonitors and reports on progress, problems and solutions Implements and manages project changes and interventions to achieve project outputsPerforms post-project evaluations and assessments of resultsEnsures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriatelySupports process mapping exercises to improve or develop new processesConducts readiness and stakeholder assessmentsExecutes communication and training plans to maximize adoption and minimize disruptionSkillsExceptional critical thinking skills and decision making Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and apply problem-solving skillsStrong analytical skills, including tools such as advanced Excel, SpotfireProcess mappingGeneral business and technical domain understandingExceptional planning and organizing skillsStrong communication – written and verbal, including presentation skillsAbility to work independently, in a team and manage multiple projectsInfluencing and leadingDelegationNegotiationConflict managementAdaptabilityBasic knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project managementBasic knowledge of project management techniques and tools (2-3 years experience)Basic experience of change management techniques and tools (2-3 years experience)Basic experience in risk identification and managementFamiliarity with project management software and toolsFamiliarity with training development software and toolsExperience partnering with vendors and contractors (desired) Oil & Gas Industry experience (desired)     ','!*!College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, or management information systems and at least 2 years of related work experienceStrong in MS applications including: Project, Visio, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and ExcelExperienced interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, to individuals at multiple levels of seniority, across disciplines, departments and locationsIndependent problem-solving and able to think proactively, but also able to work well in a team environmentAbility to recognize, measure, and mitigate project risks with appropriate communication and escalation plansAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucialAbility to develop/tailor and execute communications and training plans for various audiencesMust be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologiesCustomer service skills are an assetClient focused – anticipates needs of client, delivers high quality deliverables, and is committed to continuous improvementProject and Change Management certifications (desired)Work ConditionsOccasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlinesSome travel required for the purpose of meeting with stakeholders (e.g. off-site personnel/management)  Southwestern Energy Company is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
