As a Programs Specialist, you will enthusiastically represent the Google brand and build our talent pipeline. Whether it’s making our staffing systems more efficient, planning for our growth, building relationships on college campuses or cultivating the next generation of computer scientists, you will have an eye on the staffing needs of Google and the broader hiring landscape. You'll be focused on cultivating outstanding candidates for Google's long-term hiring needs, and you are the glue that ties together a cross-functional and international group of staffing teams.

The Tech Programs and Events team (TP&E;) is focused on promoting Google as a place to work for experienced technical talent, building a robust and diverse pipeline of outstanding candidates, and collaborating cross-functionally and globally to build and refine partnerships and outreach. Whether you are creating events that will engage a target engineering profile, building relationships with external organizations, or developing strategy to attract engineers to Google’s workforce, you will have an eye on Google’s short- and long-term growth needs and a pulse of the broader employment brand landscape.

As an Industry Development Programs Specialist, you will contribute to Google’s growth by supporting the creation and execution of strategic development programs for experienced professionals to help meet Google’s short- and long-term hiring needs.

Employ a data-driven and culture-nuanced approach to design, test, roll-out and iterate on development programs intended to equip professionals with new skills and encourage individuals to grow both professionally and personally.

Develop stakeholder relationships with key functional client groups.

Drive ongoing engagement with applicants and participants (both current and former) while developing insights about their and client groups' unique needs.

Manage programs, associated processes and budget end-to-end. Track and evaluate programs, reporting progress regularly.

Create marketing and communications strategies to drive program success.


Minimum qualifications:

BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

4 years of experience in program/event planning, recruiting, marketing, HR, consulting or related area.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience building and managing educational/skill-building programs, with a focus on adult learning programs. Community management and engagement experience.

Experience building relationships with, influencing and managing a broad range of clients and stakeholders.

Knowledge of program measurement and evaluation.

Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks. Flexible, proactive, responsible and detail-oriented.

Effective project management skills with experience in organizing and executing scalable complex programs and delivering results to clients through successful program design, implementation and iteration.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to flex style and information to audience.
