Position Summary

The Program

Manager

System

Operations

plans,

coordinates,

and manages

a

portfolio

of

projects

between

System

Operations

and

assigned

business units.

The Leader also identifies, models and recommends ideas pertaining to financial risks and opportunities within the business, leveraging the Finance Team as well as cross-functional relationships.

With

the

guidance

of

the

SVP

System

Operations,

the

Program

Manager

actively

leads

all

aspects

of

the

projects from start

to

finish,

including

project

team

definition,

project

planning,

documentation,

contract management,

product

purchasing,

full

project

execution, tracking, reporting, rollout, interfaces with

training

and

support

groups, and formalized project closure.

Projects

will

include

timeline defined

as

well as

on-going

programs,

and

the

role

will

own

departmental,

operational

and information

technology

project

tracking.

Essential

Responsibilities

Actively lead all aspects of a manageable portfolio of projects from start to finish including:

Promote communication and collaboration between the operational departments to ensure holistic view is taken when developing business cases, RFPs and projects

Project initiation: Define project high level scope, establish stakeholders, secure funding and/or internal resources.

Project planning: Create requirements specification and project plan. Define project team. Establish resource allocation decisions with Directors/Managers of each System Operations discipline. Coordinate vendor selection and vendor contract management. Facilitate product purchasing. Establish success criteria.

Project execution: Collect project documentation, deployment plan, support plan. Interface between System Operations and internal business units and/or vendors.

Project control: Manage changes, risks, scope, cost, quality, communications, time, and procurement.

Project closure: Collect formal acceptance, evaluate established success criteria to determine success.

Position also creates a department tracking tool as well as manages, updates, and reports on departmental projects on a regular basis by utilizing departmental tracking tool.

Drive departmental operating and capital forecasting (short and long term), ensuring all department forecasts are accurately represented within the enterprise forecast and associated processes

Collaborate with Managers and above to provide strategic guidance and sound business decision support to cost center leaders through proper financial analysis, collaboration and critical thinking

Minimum Experience

and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and/or demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma and at least four (4) years of previous experience

Three (3) years financial modeling, analytical reasoning and presentation experience in a professional setting (i.e. FP&A, Corporate Finance, Accounting, Investment Banking, Consulting, etc.) or other relevant experience

Three (3) years project management experience

One (1) year of operational experience

Awareness of, and preferably some experience with, industry standards in project management and development methodologies

Demonstrated leadership through project/team management

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and Visio

Knowledge of budget processes

Strong interpersonal, leadership and managerial skills including the ability to motivate others

Ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision

Ability to work effectively with all levels and in diverse environments

Ability to manage risk

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to tailor communication style to different audiences, and to exercise good judgment in frequency and nature of communications to different parties (senior management, stakeholders, team members, etc.)

Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously

Able pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test

Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls

Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
