Job DescriptionProgram Manager, Visual Merchandising Join the Amazon physical retail team! We are looking for entrepreneurial, analytical, creative, flexible leaders to help us make Amazon Books and Pop-Up Stores a place that customers love to shop. We are hiring a Program Manager (non-technical) to lead the visual merchandising strategy for a number of key product categories in-store. You will have the unique opportunity to influence the customer journey, promote discovery for our customers, own merchandising for multiple categories and lead cross-functional projects with internal teams. You have a passion for physical retail, visual merchandising and creating a customer experience in a 3D environment. You can effectively balance the art and science of retail. You thrive in ambiguity and have a willingness to roll up your sleeves to do whatever is necessary in a start-up environment. You have strong communication skills, are a great partner, and are able to influence at all levels of the organization. Key responsibilities include: · Day-to-day planogram management: design and execute detail merchandising guidance for in store features, optimizing for visual presentation, in-store set up, and the customer shopping experience. Your key internal customers include marketing, category, and store operations teams. · Utilize the onsite lab (showroom replica) to test new solutions, lead leadership walkthroughs, and prepare visuals for store communication. · You work closely with our marketing, category, and store design teams to ensure delivery of a consistent customer experience that best presents our brand; including offering customers new and exciting ways to discover, touch, see, feel, and demo products in store. · Partner on the go-to-market process to identify, evaluate, and execute merchandising solutions. Deliver work within the required cadence for strategy review, concept presentation and final walkthrough. · Develop key metrics and performance indicators to measure business performance (operational, financial and customer satisfaction) for your product features and ensure continuous improvement. Basic QualificationsBasic Qualifications · Bachelor\u2019s degree · 5 years of physical (brick and mortar) retail, product/brand/vendor management, or comparable experience · Strong ownership, bias for action, and discipline in establishing and improving processes · Strong project management skills. Solve problems creatively by using available metrics to identify issues and to make recommendations on go forward strategies · Demonstrated ability to operate effectively and simultaneously in both tactical and strategic modes · Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth category environment with cross functional teams · Polished written and oral communication skills, with experience influencing senior leadership
Preferred QualificationsPreferred Qualifications · Strong problem-solving skills and business judgment, including the ability to analyze cost/benefit trade offs and prioritize accordingly · Experience in visual merchandising
