Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus. As a Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your projects often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it's your job to keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines.

As a Program Manager for our Telecom Operations team, you will work closely with the Technical Infrastructure, Product Management, and Legal teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of Google’s global compliance requirements. You will become an expert in the planning and operation of Google’s compliance efforts in the communications domain.

In this role, you will work to operationalize and ensure regulatory compliance and good standing for a diverse set of Google’s products and services in the communications field. You will design tactical and strategic plans to meet business objectives and drive operational processes that monitor and measure the fulfillment of Google’s global commitments.

You will also work to effectively manage new cross-functional initiatives via your domain expertise and close collaboration with product and legal teams within Google.

Project manage new launches such as new products, features, and geographies from the Compliance perspective and work with Operations teams to compile requirements needed for launch, interfacing with multiple functional areas.

Ensure compliance requirements have been met before approving launches, including validating that operational requirements have been implemented and tested, policies have been updated, and/or risk assessments have been created or updated as necessary.

Interface with legal teams, regulators, vendors, processors and auditors to apply for new licenses, address issues, manage exams and audits, and monitor changes in industry regulations; modifying policies, procedures and systems as necessary.

Provide periodic reporting to service managers and company managers on compliance efforts and maintaining records, performing filing, and providing reporting to regulatory agencies as required by law and to banking partners as required by contract.

Project manage the implementation of changes necessary in response to changes in industry regulations.


Minimum qualifications:

BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

Experience in regulatory compliance programs.

Experience coordinating and managing projects, setting policies, controls and systems and managing risks associated with the business.

Preferred qualifications:

Knowledge of FCC and International regulations for telecom, voice and video service providers.

Ability to improve efficiency of processes and make them scalable.

Ability to work towards goals and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Innovative, organized, thorough and detail-oriented.

Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
