Job ID: 10210Position Description: Zygo seeks a team player for its successful Optics Product Line. Primary ResponsibilitiesContinue to drive top and bottom line growth by initiating and developing new and existing OEM/OEM type customer relationships for ZYGO's optical components products and capabilitiesProgram Manage new OEM business relationship and contracts as neededLearn and use detailed product knowledge to insure timely execution of customer requirements. Partner with other functions in developing proposals, determining voice of customer and technical solutionsDevelop pricing and schedule informationMaintain close relationships with assigned customers - be highly visibleManage communications with all key stake-holders including assigned external customersProgram tracking and planning, budgeting and the successful completion of financial targets. Coordinate the activities of cross-functional multi-disciplinary teams; define, schedule, track and execute plans to achieve program goals within budgetary schedule and resource constraints.Prepare monthly status reports, identifying programmatic variances to plan (cost/ schedule) and technical risks. Recommend corrective actions based on trade-off analysis to senior management.Manage key external suppliers such as raw material vendors to ensure key objectives.

Job Requirements
Position Requirements:BS in a technical field (Optics, Engineering or Physics desired). 3-5 years of relevant experience as a product manager, program manager or applications engineer within a precision manufacturing environment is a plusExperience in selling to leading Aerospace, Defense, Semiconductor and/or large laser programs a significant benefitKnowledge or program and project management principles and practicesSkill in project budget preparation and fiscal managementWorking knowledge of optical components and/or subsystems preferredGood understanding of contracts and contract reviewExperience with proposal preparation for commercial and government programs (ITAR and FAR) a plusExceptional interpersonal skills - communication oral and written, negotiating, relationship-building, conflict resolutionAbility to multi-task and problem solvePhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
