Scope of Position:

In this role, you will lead team operations group and facilitate daily production activities to ensure established process control and operating procedures are followed. We need you to achieve plant requirements for safety, quality, delivery, selects, uptime, throughput and cost. You will also execute the plant plan objectives at the tactical level focused on continuous improvement.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Execute operating plan to achieve team objectives and provide immediate supervision to subordinates to execute assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies.

Build effective relations with plant support groups.

Review team performance with team members at regular intervals and conduct hourly/direct labor employee performance reviews and provide coaching as needed.

Ensure team executes documented operating procedures and follows established document control protocols.

Ensure the protection of Corning’s Intellectual Property (IP).

Implement and monitor training and certification plans.

Hold reports accountable for adherence to established procedures and set points for process control; ensures awareness and compliance to changes.

Travel Requirements:

Less than 10% domestically for training.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree.

Required Years and Area of Experience:

Minimum 3 years’ work experience with industrial labor relations (union or union-free) in a manufacturing environment.

Minimum 2 year’s previous supervisory experience.

Required Skills:

Computer skills (Excel – Basic formulas, and Word)

Desired Experience / Qualifications / Skills:

Bachelor of Science (Engineering or technical)

Certified Green Belt.

Ability to communicate with all levels of the plant organization.

Aseptic manufacturing exposure.

ISO and FDA 21 CFR, part 820 knowledge or exposure.

Experience developing teams.
