Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (AdWords, AdSense, DoubleClick, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

The Google Cloud Platform team is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to drive our global Google Container Engine (GKE) business. We approach marketing in a way that breaks the rules, redefines the medium and lets the technology speak for itself. To accelerate GKE’s global momentum, we’re looking for a high-energy leader to help us connect with customers.

In this role, you’ll drive our GKE marketing program for our core Google Container Engine product. As the market authority, you’ll be thinking like a general manager for GKE with accountability for the global marketing plan. You will collaborate with product management, marketing, sales, partner relations, and developer relations functions to build marketing plans to realize those goals.

Responsibilities

Construct a clear value proposition that supports Google Cloud as well as communicating the unique value of GKE.

Build compelling, customer-focused product content that excites, inspires and compels customer adoption.

Develop a product marketing plan and drive its actioning out to customers. Measure the impact of marketing activities and accelerate the growth of GKE user base and overall usage.

Partner with Product Management, Developer Relations, Sales, Growth Marketing, Field Marketing, and Campaigns to drive awareness, adoption and customer satisfaction.

Educate internal customers on the best ways to present GKE in their materials, campaigns and activities.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

BA/BS degree in a Technical field or equivalent practical experience.

6 years of work experience in product management, product marketing or equivalent experience in the software technology industry.

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred qualifications:

MBA or other advanced degree.

Experience with Cloud platforms.

Experience with containers and container orchestration.

Experience in B2B marketing, and experience in developing customer-facing content, including sales presentations, datasheets and websites.

Demonstrated ability to develop creative/non-traditional solutions.

Excellent strategic, analytical and communication skills, with sensitivity to cross-cultural, cross-audience, multimedia and data-driven communications.
