Description

The Nike Digital team delivers what only Nike can do: unlock seamless access to products, services and tools to make athletes better. Whether it is Nike mobile applications, digital brand experiences or consumer interactions, the team helps athletes stay motivated, challenged and connected.

As a Product Manager on the Common Components team, you will own the creation, improvement and growth of world-class digital products. You will help define and execute the product vision and strategy, manage the end-to-end lifecycle of a product, and help identify market opportunities. You will define and execute a thorough roadmap and product priorities based on a strong understanding of consumer needs, insights and an even stronger handle on in-depth data analysis.

The Common Components team defines, prioritizes and delivers products and features that benefit consumers of Nike’s app and web products. Examples include products like checkout, feed and profile.

Working on the Common Components team, you will be a leader who effectively organizes resources to achieve business objectives and impact change across the Nike Digital ecosystem. Leading through influence, you will partner with colleagues across multiple functions to develop a cohesive product strategy, product roadmap, and ensure successful business outcomes. The successful candidate will work to gather feedback and drive roadmap and prioritization alignment across a diverse range of stakeholders including app teams, web teams and platform teams. Above all, you will embody the principles of product management while being a constant champion for our consumers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Represent the product organization in executing the product roadmap while working with resources across the organization.

• Product roadmap definition: Develop and propose a product roadmap based on business targets, in-depth data analysis, and a clear understanding of consumer needs.

• Product lifecycle management: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of a complex product from conception through launch. Strategize and execute on growth initiatives in operating live products.

• Prioritization: Effectively design project plans based on priorities, setting clear/measurable objectives and deploying team resources appropriately to achieve business goals.

• Product Specifications: Write and consult on complex product specifications while accounting for design challenges and external dependencies.

• Analytics and Experimentation: Develop and measure product KPIs, derive key insights, drive reporting tools, and devise and execute experiments and multivariate tests to find product solutions.

• Communication: Clearly articulate the product roadmap, vision, priorities and requirements to multiple stakeholders in both written and oral formats. Gather and incorporate feedback from a diverse range of stakeholders including app and web teams, platform teams, operational teams, legal and globalization.

• Collaborate: Partner with Engineering, Design and Program Management leaders throughout completion of milestones while connecting with brand marketing and analytics teams to deliver optimal results. Also partner with app, web and platform teams to understand and deliver against their consumers’ needs.

• Raise the Bar: Promote cross-team and cross-organizational knowledge sharing through multiple forums (e.g., user groups, tech talks, design reviews, internal blogs).

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in product management; consumer mobile or web product experience required

• Demonstrated success working with various, cross-functional, internal and external groups to deliver meaningful results on time and on budget with limited direction. Examples of successful working relationships and processes with engineering, design and product teams.

• Proven ability to develop effective product specifications, including user stories and detailed requirements. Can visually depict the desired consumer journey to communicate to business, design, and engineering. Ability to develop supporting operational processes and guidelines to support users for on-going delivery.

• Strong analytical skills with supporting examples of using metrics in all aspects of the product lifecycle. Exceptional data analysis skills with hands one experience in feature modeling. Familiarity of relational DB’s, Basic SQL and familiarity with BI tools.

• Experience thriving in a fast-paced, high growth environment. Results-driven with the ability to anticipate needs, innovate, multi-task. Nimble and flexible with regards to changing priorities & business needs.

• An assertive, direct communication style, with the ability to inspire and motivate others across the company. Collaborative, energetic and hands-on team player.

• Strong passion for creating engaging, compelling consumer experiences.

• BA/BS degree required, MBA preferred.

• Ability to work in JIRA, Confluence and Omniture
