The Applications for Distribution and Revenue Operations Information Technology team

is looking for an experienced Product Manager

who is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about leading the design, execution, and strategy for effective, scalable, end-to-end business solutions.

The Product Manager is focused on the long and short-term vision of the product, harmonizing customers' interests with IT delivery, and representing the product to the outside world. The Product Manager closely works with our internal customers and external partners to develop a roadmap of solutions needed to support key business processes. Product Managers are exceptional communicators, synthesizing and presenting technical concepts for business audiences but are equally comfortable communicating directly with developers. The Product Manager then prioritizes the request backlog and works with the BSA to translates requirements into user stories, helps in Acceptance Criteria, and defines business value scoring and success metrics.

Responsibilities

Owns the delivery of a product roadmap incorporating projects, features, and other key initiatives.

Inspires a shared vision for the team to deliver solutions that maximize business value.

Manages the IT relationship with the business as a trusted advisor.

Effectively negotiates work scope with business partners to align with objectives around time to market, effort, and scope.

Contributes to business partner vision at the initiative level, influencing the scope and delivery options with feedback.

Looks ahead to identify delivery capacity needs to be based on the roadmap and works with management to address them.

Anticipates blockers, conflicts, and obstacles, and escalates appropriately to solve.

Guides business partners through the work intake process, highlighting milestones and artifacts and understands the value of them.

Participates in cross-functional initiatives as a delivery component, representing his/her team's work with a small number of dependencies.

Partners with business and IT representatives at all levels to assess, initiate, prioritize, refine, and drive appropriate technology solutions.

Manages and communicates tradeoff decisions between scope (value in expected ROI) and schedule (higher operating expense in longer release cycles) and budget.

Identifies opportunities for process optimization, process redesign, or development of new process/policies. Challenges the status quo.

Manages and monitors contractor budgets and ensures contractors are delivering as expected within the feature delivery lifecycle.

Experience/Skills Required

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, STEM, IT or related discipline or equivalent experience.

8 years related information systems experience.

8 years of training or experience with enterprise software product management, product ownership in product manager or equivalent role.

Experience with enterprise system implementations for global companies.

Must have the ability to make decisions and recommendations on technology strategies.

Experienced with Agile planning & development methodologies and tools.

Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences.

Excellent team player able to work with virtual and global cross-functional teams.

Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.

Demonstrated knowledge of project management concepts and techniques required.
