The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Product Development Center (PDC) located in Wauwatosa, WI is home to the mantra - You dream it. We build it. Join our team as the Product Development Purchasing Analyst and help support product development as it relates to purchasing activities for systems and components.

This is what you'll do:

* Directly integrate into a cross functional product development team, working on Cruiser Platform LCP Projects.

* Interface with Project teams, engineering system groups, suppliers, parts, accessories, and customization (P&A), and H-D materials operations personnel.

* Lead part and component development activity related to new product launches, builds and purchasing processes.

* Analyze and manage components through process and product verification, validation, and product launch.

* Responsible for multiple component cost, quality and timing requirements per business case commitments from concept to delivery.

* Engage with suppliers in the product development process by managing supplier milestones, timing, and their impact to the overall project timing.

* Executing purchasing practices such as but not limited to requisitions, purchase order releases, capital and expense spending, etc.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related discipline is preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

* The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience.

* Manufacturing knowledge - preferably within complex systems

* Advanced product quality planning (APQP standards)

* Familiarity with automotive Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), first article inspection, control plans, Failure Mode Effects Analysis(FMEAs), and process flows

* Project management - experience with project management software (Microsoft project) including timeline development, phase gate reviews, etc.
