Position Responsibilities: This position requires a professional who will lead the design and timely execution of new and innovative products for our growing business. We are seeking a candidate who has experience in the textile industry, product development, working with overseas factories for timely shipments, analyzing spec sheets, sample approvals, lab dips, preparing time and action calendar, costing, and follow up with factories. The candidate will develop products by identifying potential product categories, conducting market research, and generating product requirements. This role will put you squarely in the mix between design, business, and technology. You will work closely with sales, sourcing, marketing, and production. We need a strong team player; collaboration is critical to success. Position Requirements: • Four year college or university degree with emphasis in textile design, material development, graphic design, or related area • 5 years home textile or product development expertise • Product management experience: Experience overseeing development through entire product life cycle: conceptualization, sourcing, creative design execution to market • Monitoring, tracking, and organization of all approved proposed new product samples and costs • Coordinate with marketing for strategic direction of product catalogs on new products • Prior management experience required • Business reporting and analysis to drive decisions • Manage overseas vendor communication related to production orders • Compare costing of different vendors • Oversee product specs for accuracy • Maintain product development library • Manage design assistant • Ensuring that projects are completed timely and accurately • Provide the highest level of internal and external customer service • Stay up to date with current design trends in commercial textiles JOB REQUIREMENTS: Desired Skills and Requirements: • Strong level in Adobe CS applications: (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) • Expert level in Microsoft Office Products: (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point); Expert level in Excel required • Strong knowledge of home textile industries (beddings, pillows, table/kitchen linen), fabrics, textile printing methods, embroideries is a must • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with great follow up • Excellent time management and organizational skills • Creative and detail-oriented • Passion to excel in a hands-on, fast paced environment Benefits: The opportunity for you to evolve your career within a fantastic company culture, which includes: • Competitive base salary • 401K • Healthcare, Dental & Vision Benefits • Paid Time Off • Discounts Plus much more!
