We are currently seeking a Procurement Manager to join our dynamic Team in the South Seattle Area (this position is located south of the city) supporting a major telecommunications infrastructure project.

Job Summary

The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing materials, equipment and goods processing from suppliers and the Client. He/she reviews and plans purchasing requirements for materials and monitors contractual obligations for compliance. The Procurement Manager measures vendor performance based on committed delivery dates, identifies needs and troubleshoots and resolves materials issues. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing Supply Chain Analyst(s) and one or more Warehouse Managers.


Issue Purchase Orders (POs);

Monitor the flow of purchase and consignment orders;

Select reliable sources of supply;

Request and evaluate quotations;

Verify all PO and change notices are complete, including the appropriate levels of approval, special terms and conditions;

Coordinate change orders with internal customers and warehouse support team;

Deliver reporting to internal customers and management;

Resolve problems/performance issues with vendors, delivery discrepancies and invoicing;

Monitor vendor performance; resolve lapses in service and ensure suppliers meet contractual obligations;

Work closely with all functional areas to ensure no impacts to production schedules will occur due to material or equipment deliveries.','!*!


Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related programs preferred;

7 years’ experience with Supply Chain and Warehouse Management;

10 years’ experience with Supply Chain and Warehouse Management combined with education considered in lieu of a degree;

Certifications as CSCP, CPIM, and CPSM highly preferred;

Requires strong computer skills to include Microsoft Excel and database applications. Practical knowledge test will be required;

Committed to quality, integrity and an ability to organize work independently and with team;

Ability to use computers and computer software for communication, planning, scheduling, budgeting and forecasting;

High level of analytical thinking skills ;

Positive history of leadership and communication (written and verbal);

Proven history of working in a cross-functional environment providing accurate data to team members to ensure forecasted project compliance and reporting;

Must be self-motivated with a proactive approach to working with diverse teams.


MasTec prefers, but does not require, that candidates have experience in the local area;

Candidates with certifications from The Association of Operations Management or the Institute for Supply Management.
