We are currently seeking a highly qualified Procurement Analyst to join our Headquarters G&A Procurement department in Richmond, VA. The successful candidate will ensure that contracting strategies for Human Resources, Benefits, and Compliance based functions are executed to meet business requirements at the best possible value.

Specific accountabilities include:

Identifying and responding to customer needs and requirements

Assisting in the supplier qualification process: sourcing and selecting appropriate suppliers; RFP, RFQ, and Marketplace Assessments

Training customers on the use of purchasing and financial policies/procedures and procurement systems

Training customers on responsibilities associated with supplier and contract management

Developing contract or strategic service agreement terms and conditions

Participating in or leading cross-functional business efforts and/or Procurement requirements

Assist customers with designing and introducing processes aimed at re-engineering the business

Supporting supplier audits to ensure compliance with contract terms, conditions, and other requirements

Performing advanced market research and analysis

Performing business analyses to determine strategies, achieving optimal business value

Managing projects related to the procurement of business critical services

Producing business reports, charts and graphs to assist in managing the business

Providing technical procurement advice to project oriented, cross-functional teams

Coordinating resolution of payment issues

Supporting contract negotiations

May supervise or train cross-functional resources and/or assigned employees up to the level of Purchasing Agent or Analyst, as required

Qualifications include:

A BS/BA in a business/technical discipline or equivalent; MBA/graduate degree preferred

A minimum of 5 years as a purchasing agent or equivalent experience

Proven negotiation and contracting skills, particularly related to human resource services and employee benefits

Proven communication skills (oral and written), with the ability to present to senior management

Proven ability to lead and direct cross-functional efforts

Project management skills required

Ability to perform financial and business analysis required

Specialist with industry subject matter expertise preferred

CPM/CPSM certification preferred

Systems (Ariba, SAP R3, Accounts Payable, EDI, etc.), experience preferred

Ability to accommodate travel up to 10% of the time
