General Summary

Responsible for a range of process improvement and process management activities focusing primarily on Finance related processes. Activities would include but not be limited to the closing process, fixed assets, accounts receivable, accounts payable, forecasting, disclosure and SEC process.

Process improvement functions will include data gathering and analyses, interviews, process mapping, developing and recommending process improvement, procedure and work instruction documentation, obtaining leadership or stakeholder agreement, implementing improvements, monitoring post-process improvement initiative performance to updated standards, ensuring standardization of business processes where applicable, and ensuring compliance to business process standards and internal control requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Constructs process flow diagrams that illustrate the various financial process activities and their interrelationship.

Analyzes/evaluates existing financial processes and identifies process efficiency and effectiveness improvement opportunities such as bottlenecks, business risks, duplicate activities, compliance to internal control requirements (when applicable), and supports process improvement activities.

Analyzes/evaluates existing business processes and linkages and identifies missing documented processes and leads the team to document, improve and/or implement these newly identified processes that can be implemented globally.

Participates in and may lead change management activities associated with process improvement. Engages leadership and other departments to obtain support and buy-in for changes. Partners with management, project champions, and process owners to align process improvement initiatives with business objectives.

Defines, develops, and evaluates performance metrics to establish process success. Works with multiple departments, often with competing/conflicting objectives, to ensure cohesive and reachable measures of success. Reviews data post- implementation to measure success; participates in defining standards of improvement success.

Conducts financial process training.

Researches best practices and prepares recommendation on appropriate solutions where applicable.

Supports Oracle improvements as a project member as requested.

Helps develop, as requested, to execute effective audits.

Other duties as assigned by the CFO.


Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a Finance or Accounting related field.

Experience in mapping business processes and using applicable software to document both processes and procedures.

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Work, Visio and Power Point.

Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Strong teamwork skills.

Ability to work at all levels of the organization effectively.

Strong decision-making ability.


Experience in using Oracle.
