Process Coordinator - Shipping 1st shift','208768','!*!GENERAL SUMMARY: Works with peers to prepare and move merchandise according to established safety, production, and accuracy standards and employment guidelines. Maintains and verifies documentation to facilitate the flow of merchandise through the DC. Performance will directly impact overall safety, cost and service metrics. In addition, this position will coordinate workflow in an area designated by the supervisor. Position will be on direct function 50-75% of time and expected to achieve performance standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completes a range of tasks to support processes as defined by management such as:
Release waves as directed by management.
Report progress to goals during shift to management team.
Provides procedural guidance to associates assigned to similar processes.
Applies developed skills and may develop advanced skills using tools and equipment appropriate for the position or specialization in the following essential functions:
Loads and unloads cartons. Please see Job Demand Profile for specific physical requirements.
Performs data entry through computer terminals or Remote Data Terminals (RDT)
Performs ticketing, stocking, picking, packing, counting, housekeeping and safety functions.
Effectively interact with peers in work area to ensure collaboration in process improvements and cost reductions.
Applies working knowledge of related work area processes and procedures to determine approach of completing tasks within established processes and pre-determined deadlines with only general supervision.
Understands team objectives and service requirements
May help allocate work as a team leader
Utilizes appropriate systems and to perform analysis, problem solve, and eliminate problems (such as bottlenecks) by reporting issues to management.
Recognizes and questions potential problems and situations and reports information back to management.
Uses established tools and procedures to identify organize and categorize information.
Responds promptly and consistently to changing customer needs and circumstances.
Follows safe work place behaviors and supports campus safety program','!*!QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Knowledge, skills & abilities:
Ability to complete accurate and efficient inventory counts and perform basic mathematical calculations.
Ability to comprehend and perform oral and written instructions as well as communicate processing information to management so that appropriate decisions can be made.
Sound oral and written communication skills.
Must be licensed prior to operating motorized material handling equipment.
Must have working knowledge to present solutions to flow problems.
2) Minimum educational level:
High School Graduate, GED, or equivalent experience.
3) Minimum experience:
Warehouse experience preferred.
4) Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend and stack cartons for up to 10 hours at a time. Please see Job Demand Profile for specific physical requirements.
Stand for long periods of time and walk continuously.
Associates may be required to lift up to 50 lbs. Specific weight requirements may vary within each department.
Base schedule of ten hours per shift; overtime schedules will vary however may reach up to 12 hours per shift and is required of all employees.
A forty-hour workweek is not guaranteed, due to fluctuation in workflow.
Ability to work on one, two, or three shifts across Campus based on business need.
The physical climate varies; hot and cold extremes may be experienced.
Specific functions may require protective equipment.
Drug and Alcohol free work environment.
Wear protective equipment and shoes with rubber soles and closed toes, as required.
Eligibility requirements are:
--Must meet Required Qualifications as listed above.
--Must not be on any Current Written Warning(s).
