It allows the customers to monitor and manage their assets deployed in their data centers or in cloud. OMC is built on a scalable big data platform with high-throughput processing to provide real-time analysis and deep insights. It provides automatic analysis of data using machine learning, proactive monitoring and real-time analysis.

Our team develops a variety of visualization tools for data exploration and analytics of customers’ IT data, which consists of millions of assets and billions of measurements and properties for those assets. Our visualization tools allow the users to quickly and easily navigate this enormous amount of data and derive meaning from it. Using our tools, the users can summarize and aggregate information using a wide variety of visualizations, identify patterns and outliers, perform trending and forecasting, correlate data and so on.

We are looking for a talented Principal User Experience (UX) Designer to join the UX team and design innovative experiences in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. We are at an early stage, working on ambitious new initiatives. Your work will have direct impact on both the user experience and the industry as we work to redefine this space. 

Principal User Experience Designer

The Oracle Management Cloud global business unit at Oracle is looking for a knowledgeable data-driven Principal User Experience Designer to join their growing team.

Ideally, you believe that a great user experience is crucial to the success of any product. You've witnessed first-hand how a user-centered design process is used to develop B2B-focused products and services and have a portfolio to prove it. You understand the importance of interaction and visual design and have experience in both. You have a solid appreciation of the technical context and design with it in mind.

As a User Experience Designer at Oracle, you are expected to work closely with cross-functional development and product teams to evangelize and implement best-in-class user experience. You’ll be working in a growing department with other designers and developers where your role is to ensure that every detail has been thought through. A passion for design is mandatory, but we are also looking for those who are interested in design process and team building as well.

 

 

Duties and responsibilities 

Own your own design projects. Communicate with Product Management and development teams to evangelize your UI design directions and resolve design tradeoffs and implementation issues, while applying our Agile design methods.

Design conceptual diagrams, interaction flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.

Work closely with engineering teams to create functional prototypes of complex interactions and assist in their implementation in the product.

Work within established UI and visual design patterns as well as help establish new ones as we build out our platform.

Effectively communicate and discuss design alternatives with stakeholders.

Work closely with Product Managers and Development to ensure that design specifications can be implemented, to track changes, and to make design adjustments when necessary.

Collaborate with other members of the design team on design ideas and actively critique and iterate to discover the best design solutions. Actively research and stay abreast of design and relevant technology trends.

Requirements

7 years industry experience designing and documenting medium to large-scale web-based applications, involving detailed design specification and business requirements. 

Solid understanding and experience with enterprise-level B2B data visualization tools and dashboards. 

Excellent communication skills. Designers must be able to express their ideas clearly and work in a cross-functional team environment.

Can perform both interaction design as well as visual design.

Ability to multi-task. You need to be able to stay organized and meet multiple deadlines across a variety of projects.

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Visual/Graphic design, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, Psychology or related field required.

Track record in applying user centered design processes to product development.

Experience designing within an agile development process.

A passion for solving problems and making complex systems of interaction fluid and easy to use.

Must have a portfolio with the ability to clearly articulate how complex problems are solved by your user experience flow, architecture, or design.
