In this role, you will provide business analysis and relationship management for information technology needs of the RD organizations across Medtronic MITG. You will be accountable for all project life cycle phases, with emphasis on translating user requirements into functional specifications for any associated Reporting, Data Conversion, Integration, Enhancements and Process design as they pertain to product applications. You will also be responsible for engaging with product development core teams as a liaison with the IT organization to ensure successful delivery and launch of RD projects. You will partner with numerous functional areas and define business requirements related to technology applications. You will lead process development and improvement activities and provide functional knowledge throughout the development process and maintain insight to current industry best practices and how they can be applied at Medtronic.

A Day in the Life:

•Plan, develop, and implement advanced concepts, techniques, and standards that support the strategic objectives of the RD Organization

•Through discovery, develop strategic direction, build consensus, and deliver tactical efforts aligned with strategies

•Partner with IT peers in business units and geographies to ensure solutions meet global standards and are flexible to meet local needs

•Work independently with end-users and business partners to assess the business customer requirements, match these requirements to objectives and guide them to the applicable processes and products including developing specifications and enhancements that will achieve the customers and business goals

•Manage the expectations of the customer (i.e. balance their needs with wants and educate as appropriate)

•Develop solutions to problems of unusual complexity, which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness. Challenges are frequently unique and solutions may serve as precedent for future decisions

Must Haves:

•15 years of IT experience with a GED/High School Graduate

•11 years of IT experience with Associate Degree

•7 years of IT experience with a Bachelors Degree

•5 years of IT experience with a Masters Degree

•Ability to travel internationally

Nice to Have:

•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field

•Internet of Things(IoT) solutions supporting Healthcare and Medical Devices

•Familiarity with cloud services and the components which encompass an IoT enabled solution

•Experience with analytics platforms and best practices

•Experience with Solution Architecture development

•Knowledge of Agile Project Management Methodologies

•Experience leading user story and backlog development

•Experience leading sprint kickoff, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives

•Knowledge and experience in the medical device industry

•Knowledge of Product Development and Research functional areas

•Experience with Product development teams, including IT solutions implemented supporting service oriented products and commercial launch plans

•Experience in the applications development and support of integrated business and systems architecture

•Experience in business process definition, requirements definition and technology solution research

•Experience in facilitating small to large groups through challenging discussions

•Goal oriented, task driven decision-making with a strong sense of accountability

•Focused on improving productivity, profitability and business processes; delivering solutions on time and within budget

•Excellent leadership and team work skills

•Strong interpersonal, oral, presentation, and written communication skills

•Ability to understand end-audience needs and requirements

•Strong understanding of business processes and vocabulary

•Resource, cost, and budget planning/estimation

•Requirements definition and design specification

•Business Analysis Certification

•Six Sigma Green belt or Black belt certification
