The Pricing Strategy Manager - Tissue will be responsible for working with the Retail Consumer Tissue category team to use data-driven insights to develop comprehensive price strategies that accelerate price realization and create long-term value.  This person will also focus on elements of product and portfolio design that help drive cost efficiencies and/or increase the value of our products and brands with consumers and customers.  The role will report to the Pricing Strategy Leader for Tissue.   

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

Building and sharing knowledge around key category, channel, and competitive trends and implications on product, portfolio, and pricing 

Combining knowledge of system constraints, competitor positions, and key drivers of profitability to proactively identify price, product, and portfolio optimization opportunities to category teams

Identifying key gaps in our knowledge or ability to deliver on pricing opportunities, and working with category and capability partners to evaluate and address via analysis, research and/or experiments

Collecting data and using analysis to develop alternatives on product and portfolio design as well as desired mix, for both long-term desired end-state and near-term implementation

Making clear recommendations on portfolio design as well as desired mix, for both long-term desired end-state and near-term implementation

Developing a long-term price architecture, ensuring alignment with brand vision and strategy

Utilizing tools, frameworks, and analyses (predictive and descriptive) to understand price landscape and develop specific price (both everyday and promotional) recommendations across pack-sizes and channels

Working with cross-functional teams in Category, Operations, Marketing and Sales to understand implications of recommendations and execution alternatives

Communicating effectively with Brand Managers to understand their needs and provide recommendations to inform their long-term vision and strategy

Maintaining and improving upon Consumer Tissue pricing reports, and helping to distill key insights from market trends that will be presented to senior GP leadership (SVP Sales, GPCB President, VP Finance)

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree

At least 18 months of management consulting experience or 3 years of CPG or Retail experience 

Experience with Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint is required

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree (MBA or related) 

Bachelor’s degree in technical field (e.g. Math, Science, Engineering, Economics) 

Pricing experience in consulting or CPG/Retail environment
