\u003cp\u003eUnder moderate supervision, works in a fast-pace professional call center environment providing excellent customer service to customers on both inbound and outbound calls. Works and completes all applications and processes necessary to tend to customer concerns and inquires. Services and assists in maintaining existing Private Passenger Automobile, Homeowner and Commercial policies.\u0026nbsp;\u003cbr /\u003eUtilizes in-depth understanding of products and underwriting guidelines to collect customer information, evaluate and properly address individual risks. Processing policy changes for customers in an expeditious manner. Audits and ensures completion of policy applications, follows-up with customers on open application issues, endorsements, policy changes, and provide policy verification as needed. Counsels customers on coverage, which may include recommendations for coverage enhancements and/or expansion; including offering and quoting additional lines of business.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;Interacts with Underwriters to respond to general questions or resolve complex underwriting policy issues. \u003cbr /\u003e \u003cbr /\u003eMay resolve general billing inquiries and process basic payments. May take first report claims calls, which typically involve all lines of company business. Utilizes in-depth understanding of related products and systems knowledge to complete tasks independently and in a timely manner; completes project work as assigned. A PSA may be expected to provide informal leadership and guidance to other Call Center team members based on customer service experience and knowledge. \u003cbr /\u003e \u003cbr /\u003eWorker characteristics are normally acquired through the successful completion of a high school degree or equivalent (G.E.D.) and at least 2 years of directly-related Property \u0026amp; Casualty Insurance experience in a call center and/or customer service environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. \u003cbr /\u003eAn active Texas General Lines Property \u0026amp; Casualty Insurance license is required, and the ability to obtain an appropriate P\u0026amp;C equivalent license in other Mercury States as required. \u003cbr /\u003eRequires extensive knowledge of state-specific underwriting guidelines and Mercury\u0026rsquo;s underwriting protocols. \u003cbr /\u003eRequires broad knowledge of Company policies and procedures. \u003cbr /\u003eRequires proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and the ability to effectively utilize internal computer systems and applications. \u003cbr /\u003eAttention to detail and excellent organizational skills. \u003cbr /\u003eRequires strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent computer skills required. \u003cbr /\u003eRequires strong customer service skills and the ability to interact with our customers as well as our internal business units in a professional manner. \u003cbr /\u003eMust be able to counsel and advise customers on coverage-related matters concerning their respective policy(s). \u003cbr /\u003eProfessional conduct is essential to this position. \u003cbr /\u003eMust be able to interact cordially with other employees to accomplish common tasks. \u003cbr /\u003eRequires the ability to work in fast-paced environment, must multi-task, be able to prioritize workflow, and organize various communications in a timely manner as needed. \u003cbr /\u003eMust be able to analyze customer needs, problem solve and make sound business decisions.\u003c/p\u003e
